Safety is at the top of our agenda every day at KONE. Every year, we place extra focus on boosting our safety efforts through our Global Safety Week. The week presents KONE employees with different trainings, special events and activities.
One of the many highlights on the sixth global safety week includes a launch of an app that teaches children about elevator and escalator safety. The app includes a game that features KONE's safety mascots, Max the mouse and Bob the elephant. It begins with Max accidentally flying away with a balloon, leading Bob to go on a journey to follow his friend by exploring a tall building with the help of elevators and escalators.
The adventure-filled game is intended for children aged 4 to 10 years and it is available for download for Android and IoS devices. You can also play the game on personal computers and tablets here: www.kone.com/childrenssafety.
The app adds to KONE’s initiative to educate equipment users to act responsibly and safely when using elevators and escalators. In order to educate children and parents alike on these safe practices, KONE organizes events and visits schools and kindergartens around the world. KONE’s safety mascots Max and Bob also appear in a children’s workbook and an animated film.
Go and help Bob follow his friend Max through a maze of elevators and escalators! Download the app from the Google Play Store and the Apple Store.
